Its been a long hard week finding winners but the day everyone has been waiting for is finally here, it`s Cheltenham Gold up day! Hope you have booked the afternoon off

Starting with the Gold Cup at 3:30, 2018 was all about Native River getting his first win for Colin Tizzard and Richard Johnson, trainer, jockey respectively, and he runs again this year looking to make it back to back Gold Cups. There is some interesting similarities for Elegant Escape, who carried a high weight of 11st 8lb in his Welsh National win over Christmas, other horses to do this around Chepstow include 4 previous Cheltenham Gold Cup winners including Tizzards Native River. The mount of Tom Scudamore, THISTLECRACK gets the nod for this one.

The opening race on the final day is the JCB Triumph hurdle and a lively 14 runners to post and a hot favourite in Sir Erec at a short 10/11, evens in some places. The value bet here is the 2nd favourite, QUEL DESTIN, coming into this on the back of a stylish win at Haydock.

A Handicap hurdle is on the agenda at 2:10 with the Randox Health County Handicap Hurdle, with another huge field of 24 runners. We just cant look beyond the booking of Willy Mullins booking of Ruby Walsh for WHISKEY SOUR who was third in this very race last season. He looks to be at a better weight this time round and with a great jockey booking surely its his year.

The 2:50 Albert Bartlett Novices is usually the race that the winner goes on to greatness and this year could be no different, any of 20 runners could be destined for greatness. Admittingly we have ducked and dived winners most of the week, but DICKIE DIVER is the one to smash the bookies here.

The last ITV race is the Foxhunter Challenge Cup at 4:10. Our pick for this one is UCELLO CONTI after the great win at Navan last time out.

Please gamble responsibly!

Don`t forget our St Patricks Promotion* is on all week so pop to the bar a grab a couple of Guinness.
