Four times Lakeside attendee Mark Barilli secured his place at the UK Open for the 6th time after a nail-biting 4-3 win over Dalbeattie’s Craig Smith in Greenock.
45 year-old Barilli should be well known to darts fans, he had a tour card between 2014-2017. He has also won the Scottish Masters and Elgin Open titles in the past, in addition to being at the World Masters on nine occasions and the Zuiderduin Masters twice.
He has reached the money rounds twice before at the UK Open. In 2012 he narrowly lost 9-8 to Brendan Dolan in the last 64 after three wins. He reached the same stage in 2015 thanks to wins over Dennis Smith and Steve Hine, losing out to Devon Peterson in another last leg decider.
Congratulations to Mark Barilli who wins the 2019 @ClubRileys PDC UK Open Qualifier in Greenock.

Had a belter of a day representing @DartsPlanetTV at the UK Open @ClubRileys Qualifier in Greenock. Saw some great darts and had a good laugh with the lads who came up from Dumfries.
