There will be two alternative ways of qualifying depending on location.
A) The majority of all local qualifiers will begin shortly after the closing date. In most areas a draw will be made and each entry will be notified of whom they have drawn to play, along with all their opponent’s contact details. All players will be given a maximum of two weeks to complete their matches, and because we appreciate that local leagues (even in the same area) are played on different nights it will be the responsibility of the players concerned to contact each other to arrange a mutually agreed date and time for their match to be played.
For all players with suitable access, all matches should be played in your local Rileys club. This will be identified when draw details are sent out.
NB. For those players without a Rileys’ club in their area, they will be free to arrange their matches at the chosen venue of the first named player in the draw.
B) Depending on the number of entries from any given area, and if you enter from one of the counties below area, there will also be a second qualifying procedure which will see the local qualifiers being played on one day (Saturday or Sunday). This day will be chosen by the counties below, and all players entered will be informed of said date shortly after the entry deadline has closed. Be assured though it will not be during the half term or over the Easter Bank Holiday Period
Derbyshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Berkshire, Lanarkshire, Hampshire, Glamorgan, Lancashire (26th March), Grampian, Perthshire, Warwickshire, Angus (Scotland North) Humberside, Cleveland, Cumbria, Suffolk, Inverness, Tyne & Wear, Oxfordshire, Norfolk.
Please note that if you do not have a Rileys club locally, or indeed live in a county that doesn’t have a Rileys club, all local qualifying matches, up until the Regional finals (May 21st 2011) will be played at nominated local venues.
