Joining Rileys

Q. Why do I have to join Rileys?

A. Because we're brilliant of course. But other than that, we are a member’s only club for good reasons. It allows us to maintain a safe and family friendly environment for our members, and to also provide extended opening hours and services. Online accounts

Q. I’m already a member. Why should I create an online account?

A. Existing members of Rileys are encouraged to create an online account in order to confirm their details, modify their preferences and to be able to book tables and other services on the Rileys website. You'll wonder how you ever got by without one.

Q. I’m not a member of Rileys, can I create an account?

A. You must join Rileys to have an online account. Joining is quick, painless and free online, and will automatically create your account.

Q. I want to identify myself as a Rileys member, but I’ve lost my membership card.

A. Butterfingers. Your first port of call should be a call or visit to your club. They will be able to tell you the barcode number on your membership card. If you're in a real hurry, we invite you to rejoin for free here on the website.

Q. I’m trying to identify myself as a Rileys member, but you don’t recognise my details.

A. The most likely explanation is that you are no longer playing at the club in which you first joined Rileys. You might for instance have moved house. Try identifying yourself selecting your original Rileys club. If you continue to have problems, please contact Rileys customer service, providing your full name, club and the barcode number on the back of your membership card.

Q. What's this Login with Facebook thing?

A. If you have a Facebook account, (and who doesn't nowadays?) you can connect your Facebook account with your Rileys account. If you've not already done so, either join as a new member, or identify yourself as an existing member. You'll then be able to connect your Facebook account.

Q. How secure are my details?

A. Very secure. We use SSL, 128bit encryption for all sensitive information such as your accounts and payment details.

Q. Can I renew my membership online?

A. Not at this time. You will need to visit the club you are a member of to renew your membership.

Booking questions

Q. Should I book in advance?

A. We would recommend booking in advance as this guarantees you a table at the time of your choice. However, it is possible to book at the time of arrival if tables are free. You can book online with all of our clubs, or by phone or email. Please note, head office cannot take bookings. Please contact your local club directly to make a booking or use our online booking service. You can find your nearest club and their contact details on our club finder page.

Q. What ways are available to book a table?

A. Loads! Tables can be booked for all of our clubs online. You can also book by phoning or emailing a club directly. It's a bit old fashioned, but you can even walk in and book. Please note that head office cannot make bookings. You must contact the club you wish to play in directly. You can locate your nearest club by using our club finder page.

Q. How many tables can I book at the same time?

A. As many as you like, and on any number of different days. For instance, if you are a regular weekly player, you can book several weeks in advance.

Q. I booked a specific table, but on arrival was moved to a different table. Why?

A. While we endeavour to provide the table you requested, our terms and conditions state that we reserve the right to move you to an alternative table at our discretion. We don't do it to be awkward, but to make sure as many people as possible can have an opportunity to play.

Q. I booked a table but now I can’t play on the requested date. Can I change the date and time of play?

A. Unfortunately once your online booking has been confirmed and payment received we are unable to cancel or amend the booking. Therefore please make sure that you and any guests you invite to play are available on the day and time you have chosen. Please refer to our terms and conditions (paragraphs 2 and 17) for further details.

Q. I was not able to play. Can I request a refund?

A. Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds in the event that you or any guests you invited were unable to attend on the date and time you booked. Please refer to our terms and conditions (paragraphs 2 and 17) for further details.

Q. My bank details are being refused.

A. Rileys uses Sagepay to process payments. Any failure to process a payment is determined by Sagepay and therefore out of Rileys control. In the event of a failure to process a payment, please refer to the reasons provided by Sagepay, or contact your bank.
