Phil The Power Praises

(Posted: 25 Jan 2011)

Rileys put top-flight facilities into pool and snooker clubs!

Darts legend Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor has launched Rileys brand new Darts Zone in Hull, Manchester (Chorlton) and Edinburgh.

Taylor, the 14-time World Champion, was in Rileys, Alfred Gelder Street, Hull, checking out the new playing area, fitted with championship quality boards and hi-tech electronic scoring.

Taylor said: “The sport of darts is on the up and up as more people start playing every week.

“It will do wonders for our game to have a top operator like Rileys bring their club expertise to the development of our game across the country. There will be real benefits for players at all levels.”

Rileys Chief Executive Maurice Kelly said: “Our facilities, from bar to dart board, offer a very high quality alternative to the local pub. We hope all the darts players in the Hull area will come and have a look. “In a recession-hit year, with pubs all over the country closing daily, we are dedicated to providing somewhere fantastic for darts players to meet and play.

“The rise of darts has been phenomenal. The game has seen a massive increase in people not only following, but participating as well. Our facilities reflect the new and improved world of darts.”
