Rileys member "Joker" John plays top Darts pro

John ‘Joker’ Ferrell played top darts pro Adrian ‘Jackpot’ Lewis live on stage after winning a knockout tournament at Rileys Gillingham.
John, 48, from Tunbridge Wells, faced World Number Eight Lewis in front of a cheering crowd at the O2 Arena.
John said: “It was a real thrill being up on stage and playing Adrian. Even though I lost to him it was great fun.
“Having the chance to play against such a great player has encouraged me to keep on playing and practicing. I would love to be able to come back and play on a stage like this again someday.”
John plays regularly for The Who Institute darts team and is an ex-PDC player. He appeared in four World Championships, and made the last eight in one.
Rileys Chief Executive Maurice Kelly said: “What a great night. John played a great game and commiserations on losing to Adrian.
