Rugby fans were treated to some thrilling rugby over the weekend with 11 trys being scored across the three games. England pulled away from a visibly knackered Italian side in the second half, Wales made a great comeback to oust an unfortunate Scotland and France left it late to defeat the Irish – this weekend had it all!
Let’s look back on some of the best trys of the round –
1. Jonathan Joseph v Italy
His second of three fantastic trys has to be the best. The chip from Danny Care made it, but the run was timed to perfection!
2. Gareth Davies v Scotland
After an exquisite chip from Dan Biggar, man mountain Jamie Roberts knocks it down for Davies to run 50 metres and score in the corner.
3. George North v Scotland
The man is back! After a poor run of five test matches without a try the Welsh wing turned the Scots into statues, running past four to score a superb try.
4. Tommy Seymour v Wales
The Scottish winger showed that his team could match Wales in terms of fine trys with this fantastic effort from a perfectly weighted Finn Russell chip!
5. Owen Farrell v Italy
Alreadyy 33-9 up, England turned the screw on the Italians with a lovely offload from Saracens prop Jamie George to send his team mate Farrell over for England’s fifth try of the match.
And there you have it our top five trys from the round. What’s your favourite?
