It’s almost here – Anthony Joshua v Charles Martin!
Anthony Joshua takes on his 16th professional opponent this weekend in which will undoubtedly be his toughest bout yet. His previous 15 opponents have all been gunned down in minimal time with his latest victim, Dillian Whyte, becoming the only fighter who’s taken Joshua past the third round. Standing at 6 ft 6 and weighing 108 kg, the man is a prime athlete ready to take on the toughest heavyweights in the world, starting with IBF heavyweight title holder Charles Martin this weekend. A little shorter than Joshua, Martin stands at 6 ft 5 but weighs 4 kg more and holds the slightly more impressive record of 23 -0 -1, knocking 21 of his opponents out in an undefeated professional career. This means one of these colossal men will have their record tarnished come Saturday night in a fight set to rock the foundations of the O2 Arena.
We’re backing home-grown talent Anthony Joshua to bring home the IBF title to Britain, meaning between him and Tyson Fury they’ll hold three of the four world heavyweight titles. Don’t think he’ll do it? Take a look at his previous knockouts and maybe it’ll sway your mind…
And of course this monumental knockout just four months ago.
