February My Kinda Car

My Kinda Car!

Officer David Starsky and Officer Kenneth Hutchinson reporting for doo-tee and responding to a Zebra 3!
Just the kind of baby in which under cover cops can slip seamlessly into the lowlife gutterland unnoticed.
The 1974 Ford Gran Torino was a restyle from the ‘72 model which itself had undergone significant re-styling. The 2 door ’74 was the 250CID 6-cylinder engine although the main production line models came with the 302-2V as the standard engine. The Gran Torinos were modified for the programme with higher ratio gears for better acceleration. For the second series in ‘76 powered by 460 Lima V8s. Due to the shows success Ford released a limited edition of the actual S&H car. Go baby, give it some frothy handbreak turns!

It's Been Invented

The retro eco warrior. No longer a niche car for the eccentric collector, the bubble car looks like it’s coming back under the romantic tag of the Vehiconomics Smite - so that’s Smite to you and me. The Swedish-made Smite is based (in looks) on the classic Messerschmitt KR200, produced between the mid-50s and 1960s. But this is no relic - it's a modern eco-based take on the bubble car, addressing the need for a light, energy-efficient car in the modern world. Buy one.
